Tips to prepare your
property for the
upcoming season

Crawling out of winter

We have all been inside for the winter, but our lawn has been taking a beating. The best thing you can do to help your lawn is rake, rake, rake. This will allow the much needed sun to warm the roots and start the spring growing process. The next best thing you can do for you lawn is to give it a short hair cut, about an inch and a half to two inches with a very sharp mower blade. As a reminder, spring is only one of two times in the year to cut grass this short. The other time is the last cut of the season. Both times occur in our rainy season, so the grass will not be harmed. Normally, grass should be cut at four inches with no more than one and

a half being cut off at a time. So, in the spring cut often, every 4-6 days, pending rain and sun.
